The Kings and Queens Highways are open but several roads and crossings in Lautoka, Nadi and Ba are closed due to flooding.

This has been confirmed by the Fiji Roads Authority.

Arolevu and Chuni Lal crossings in Nadi as well as Navula Bridge, Vaivai Road and Drasa Dam Road in Lautoka are closed.

The roads closed in Ba due to flooding are Nadrau Road, Toge 1st crossing and Marinitawa crossing.

It has been raining heavily in Ba, Tavua, Lautoka, Nadi and Rakiraki since this morning.

A heavy rain alert remains in force for the Fiji group.

The rain is being caused by a trough of low pressure which is expected to affect the Fiji group until the weekend.

Please note localised heavy rain may lead to flash flooding.
