18-year-old Kia Pandya is thrilled to have achieved the highest marks in the country in the Year 13 external examination, scoring an impressive 390 out of 400.

Pandya had set a goal of scoring 395 marks out of 400 but despite missing it by just 5 marks, she is still thrilled to have scored the highest marks in the country.

She attended Natabua High School.

She says her drive to excel came from the personal goals she set for herself to achieve before finishing secondary education.

Pandya’s subject combination was pure science.

She scored 92 in English, 100 in Mathematics, 99 in Physics, 99 in Chemistry and 97 in Biology.

She also scored the highest mark for Year 12 examination last year.

The 18-year-old says despite juggling many responsibilities, including serving as Deputy Head Girl and participating in the National Biology Battle and other extracurricular activities, she remained focused on achieving her academic goals.

Pandya also acknowledged the unwavering support of her parents and teachers.

She encourages other students to stay focused and avoid distractions such as social media and drugs, as these can hinder their ability to achieve their dreams.
