Kenya’s legendary former 7s coach Benjamin Ayimba has passed away.
According to a family statement, Ayimba scummed to multiple complications he was being treated for over the last couple of months.
He played for the Kenyan 7s team and as a coach led them to their first ever title in Singapore with a victory over Fiji in the final.
Former and current 7s players have been paying tribute to Ayimba on social media.
