Kaunitoni St. alleged robbers charged and to appear in court today

The two youths who were arrested for allegedly robbing a 14-year-old boy at Kaunitoni Street, Vatuwaqa on Tuesday have been charged and will appear in the Suva Magistrates Court today.

Both are charged with one count each of aggravated robbery.

The incident was captured on video and shared widely on social media by residents.

Police had earlier said that the 14-year-old boy reported the incident at the Nabua Police Station, whereby the Southern Division Task Force Team was deployed.

One of the suspects was arrested in Raiwai while the second was arrested along Waimanu Road in Suva.
