Good news for Kalabu Primary School students as they will now benefit from a new ablution block and a new kindergarten classroom to support their education.

While speaking at the opening ceremony Head of School Kitione Turagabeci says these projects are not just about bricks and desks but also symbolises hope, opportunity, and a brighter future for the students.

Turagabeci says this achievement is a testament to what can be accomplished when people unite for a common purpose.

He says the support from the government of Japan is a contribution to Fiji and provides young generations with a space to strive for better opportunities in the future.

The Japanese Ambassador to Fiji, Rokuichiro Michii says these new facilities will greatly enhance educational support for children.

Michii adds this is one of many grassroots projects initiated by Japan since 1990, with many more planned in the future.

The Government of Japan provided $381,870 to Kalabu Primary School and Nasinu Gospel Primary School for the construction of the new kindergarten classroom and ablution block.
