Josateki Degei of Namosi signs with Dallas Jackals

Namosi rugby team fullback, Josateki Degei has signed a contract with the US based, Dallas Jackals for the 2021 Major League Rugby season.

The former Ratu Kadavulevu student represented Fiji in the U20s in 2017, winning the Oceania 7s and playing in the World Rugby U20 Trophy competition.

In 2017/2018 he played in the World Rugby Pacific Challenge and also during 2019/2020. In 2020 he was part of the Fijian Latui extended squad for the Global Rapid Rugby season, as well as for 2020 Swire Shipping Fijian Warriors.

Degei says playing rugby was a dream that needed a lot of sacrifices, hard work, and commitment.

Meanwhile, Namosi will meet Nadi at 3pm today at the ANZ Stadium in the Farebrother Sullivan Trophy challenge and Skipper Cup.

In other Skipper Cup matches, Naitasiri will face Tailevu at 3pm at the Nakelo District School ground while Yasawa will play Nadroga at 3pm at Churchill Park.

In the Vodafone Vanua Championship final, Rewa will face Northland at 3pm at Lawaqa Park.
