Jone Vakarisi to take plea on Wednesday for an alleged domestic violence case

Jone Vakarisi who is alleged to have assaulted his wife will take his plea on Wednesday.

He is charged with three counts of assault causing actual body harm, breach of suspended sentence and breach of bail conditions.

The alleged incidents took place between the 29th of May to the 5th of June this year.

Vakarisi was to take plea today however, this was the first call in court where he was represented by his lawyer Nemani Tuifagalele.

Tuifagalele requested the court for more time to obtain full instructions from his client regarding the case.

The case was called before High Court Judge Justice Aruna Aluthge this morning.
