John Sanday has been elected as the new Board Chairman of the Fiji Rugby Union following their inaugural board meeting.

Sanday was recently appointed as a Board Member during the FRU's Annual General Meeting.

In a statement, the FRU says Sanday’s appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for Fiji Rugby as he brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise.

They say with a new company structure and constitution in place, under Sanday’s leadership, they are confident that Rugby House will continue to grow, innovate, and reach new heights.

FRU says they look forward to his leadership in shaping the future of the sport in Fiji, building on the success of our national teams, and strengthening rugby at all levels across the nation.

They say they are also excited for the journey ahead, as they work together to take Fiji Rugby to even greater achievements on the world stage.

The new board of directors will have a term of 4 years.
