Double Olympic gold medal winner, Jerry Tuwai has set up a sporting events company called Tuwai Investment Pte Ltd.

Tuwai believes sports is a very good mechanism that can be used to educate youths in our country about the future and the decisions they make.

They are organizing the 2023 Burger King Bula Business House Futsal Soccer League.

A total of $9,000 in prize money is up for grabs.

Tuwai Investment Pte Ltd Director of Operations, Alan Kumar says the competition kicks off on 4th April at the FMF Gymnasium where a total of 40 business house teams have registered to take part.

Kumar says they have 32 men's teams, 4 women's and 4 veteran teams.

He further says entry fees for the women's category is free.

The Director adds their theme "If Jerry can do it, women can do it as well" and they believe in giving women an equal playing field to compete alongside men to eliminate violence against women.

He says another reason they are doing this is for people’s health.

Kumar further adds this is something they are doing to contribute toward Fiji Football's Futsal Development as well.

Burger King Marketing Officer, Navneel Naidu says sport is a key element which improves community health and productivity, builds discipline, team work, produces good leaders and most importantly brings people together.

Naidu says as a result they have made it a Burger King Fiji priority to increase their support for sporting events in various ways.

He also says this is a great opportunity for their organization to bring people together and participate in such competitions while also building on more local sporting events.
