Two weeks after knocking out Jonasa Kavika at Lawaqa Park, Fiji’s heavyweight champion James “The Beast” Singh has finally been given the belt which the Boxing Commission of Fiji did not bring that night.

Singh was presented yesterday with the Heavyweight Title of Fiji belt by Education Minister Rosy Akbar and the Chairman of the Boxing Commission of Fiji Subhash Appana.

Following an inquiry this past week, the Boxing Commission of Fiji says due to an administrative oversight, the fight did not have a title belt onsite to award the winner of the title bout.

The Boxing Commission of Fiji has now located the old title belt.

Singh was given a new title belt. The current board of the commission was appointed in 2019. It consists of Chairman Subhash Appana, Usman Lale, Eroni Loganimoce, Donny Yee and Litiana Loabuka.
