Jackson seeks tactical edge against Brumbies by naming 3 halfbacks

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Coach Glen Jackson says they are doing a bit of thinking outside the box by naming three halfbacks in his squad to take on the Brumbies in their Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific opener today.

Simione Kuruvoli starts off at No.9 while Peni Matawalu and co-captain Frank Lomani are on the bench.

Jackson says the halfbacks on the bench give him a variation as both have played wing before, especially Lomani for the Melbourne Rebels.

He says obviously, with Lomani as co-captain it is about getting the right people onto the field at the right time.

The Fijian Drua will be hoping to keep their record intact of not losing to any Australian team at home while also picking up their first win against the Brumbies.

The Drua host the Brumbies at 3.35 this afternoon at the HFC Bank Stadium Suva.

In other games, the Blues play the Chiefs at 6.05 tonight while the Force meet Moana at 8.35pm.
