A team of three expert doctors from Israel, deployed by the Israeli Government, have successfully completed a preliminary assessment of selected hospitals, health centres, and nursing stations across Fiji, covering both coastal and interior regions.
The government says the visit was part of an ongoing collaboration with the Ministry of Health, following a high-level meeting between Israel’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Fiji, Roi Rosenblit, and senior Ministry officials including the Permanent Secretary Dr. Jemesa Tudravu, Acting Chief Medical Advisor Dr. Luisa Cikamatana-Rauto, and Chief Surgeon Dr. Josese Turagava.
They say the Israeli medical experts conducted site visits to gain a better understanding of Fiji’s healthcare landscape and areas where cooperation can be further strengthened.
The government adds this visit reflects the continued growth of bilateral cooperation between Israel and Fiji in the health sector.
