An Island Festival for the Lomaiviti Province will be held on the 1st of December.

This has been highlighted by the Roko Tui Lomaiviti Sakiusa Navakaroko during the Lomaiviti Provincial Council Meeting at Studio 6.

Navakaroko says there will be three divisions for this festival and it will be held on the same day.

He says Festival 1 will include Ovalau, Moturiki and Batiki, Festival 2 will be in Gau and Nairai and Festival 3 will be on Koro Island.

He adds the purpose of this festival is to educate the young people of Lomaiviti on the importance of maintaining and continuing to uphold iTaukei traditions and culture.
