Minister for Health Ifereimi Waqainabete during the United Nations, Fijian government and Partners Joint Mission to Lau.

Minister for Health Ifereimi Waqainabete has stressed that irrespective of where people choose to live in Fiji, the ministry will reach out to them.

Waqainabete highlighted this to the people of Lau during the United Nations, Fijian government and Partners Joint Mission to Lau.

He says when officials visit places as far as Lau, a significant impact can be made.

Waqainabete says he wants people to know that they all have access to health service.

He says the ministry just wants people to promote healthy living.

Waqainabete also highlighted that they aim to make the government medical ship, the MV Veivueti, visit the islands once in a year.

He says they want to push out their services as much as possible because they have realized that if they do that, the villagers on the island are not travelling all the way to the mainlands.

The Minister says this will save them time and money.
