Investigations continue in the matter where a Navy Officer allegedly attacked neighbours dog with a cane knife

Police investigations are ongoing in the matter where an officer from the Republic of Fiji Navy allegedly attacked his neighbour’s dog with a cane knife which left the animal in critical condition.

The incident occurred on Monday

Vimal Prasad has told Legend FM News that the suspect allegedly entered their compound and attacked their dog which left a big gash on the dog’s head.

He says the suspect attacked the dog because it went into his compound but adds the dog did not attack the suspect.

Prasad says he is in shock as a result of this act because their dog is like a family member.

Prasad says they took their dog to the hospital on Tuesday and are currently giving him medication at home however he is still not eating properly.

Police have confirmed that they are investigating the matter.

Navy Commander Commodore Humphrey Tawake says he is not in a position to make any comments because this is a police case.
