Chief of Intelligence, Investigations and Prosecutions, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police (A/ACP) Sakeo Raikaci, says they should never compromise the integrity of investigations.

This was highlighted by him while officially closing the five days of Forensic Expert Witness Training, this morning.

Fiji Police Forensic Science Services underwent five days of Forensic Expert Witness Training facilitated by the New Zealand Institute of Environment Scientific and Research ESR - Science and Research.

Raikaci says investigators are increasingly relying on forensic evidence to solve cases as they can put together a solid case to present to court with the support of evidence.

He stressed that Forensic Officers' work will be measured on successful prosecution in court.

Raikaci also acknowledged the contribution of the two facilitators, the ESR Quality Manager Anna Petricevich and Senior Scientist Robyn Somerville.
