More than 200 people gathered today at the International School Suva for their fun day which showcased diverse cultural identities in the food, dances, and songs along with laughter and joy.

While speaking to fijivillage News, International School Suva Principal, Thomas Van Der Wielen says the main focus of the fun day is to gather the community, parents, staff and students on campus on a day off just to have fun together.

Wielen says another reason to raise funds was to address campus needs, with input from parents and students on where to invest.

He also says they raise money for student service initiatives that reach out to the wider community in and outside of Suva.

The School Principal says they have almost 60 nationalities in their school and all are represented today, which is unique in the country and it brings people from all over the globe together with food and enjoy each other's company and coming together is just incredible.

Wielen says we need to celebrate no matter what color, religion, or sexual orientation we have.
