England cricketer Jos Buttler says it has been an incredibly tough and disappointing tournament for the side and he is also disappointed at himself and the boys that they haven’t given their best through the tournament.
He says there is no clear answer at the moment and cannot really blame the boys' efforts, but they are playing a long way short of their best.
Sri Lanka crushed the defending champions by eight wickets in a low-scoring encounter, giving their World Cup campaign new life and putting England in danger of losing out on a semi-final place.
In the must-win match between the tournament's bottom teams, Sri Lanka held England to a below-par 156 all out in 33 overs, with just Ben Stokes providing actions in an awful batting performance.
England will face India on Sunday at 8.30pm.
