I’m still in shock – Isoa Tuwai

From just playing in the Skipper Cup competition last year for the Suva Rugby Union club, and now awaiting to make his Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific debut, Swire Shipping Fijian Drua newcomer, Isoa Tuwai, is still in shock that he has been selected to be part of the 23-member team that will take on the Brumbies in their opener this tomorrow.

Tuwai says he had told his parents about the good news and they could not believe that their son would be running out with the Drua this Saturday.

He says that he is still trying to control his emotions so that he can stay focused on the task at hand.

Tuwai is part of the Fijian Drua development squad and has been named on the bench as a backrow replacement.

The other player who will be making his Super Rugby Pacific debut is former Fiji 7s rep and Paris Olympics silver-medallist Ponipate Loganimasi, while Vuate Karawalevu will be making his first appearance for the Drua after being signed from the Waratahs.

The Drua will host the Brumbies at the HFC Bank Stadium at 3.35pm tomorrow.

In other matches, the Crusaders will meet the Hurricanes at 6.05 tonight, the Waratahs will take on the Highlanders at 8.35 tonight, the Blues will face the Chiefs at 6.05pm tomorrow, and the Force will play Moana Pasifika at 8.35pm tomorrow.
