Wallabies centre Len Ikitau says strong competition for midfield spots is driving him and Joseph-Aukuso Sua'ali'i to perform ahead of Saturday’s second test against Argentina.
Coach Joe Schmidt has favoured the Ikitau-Sua'ali'i pairing, which has started 10 of the last 11 tests, including last weekend’s 28-24 win.
Rugby.com stated that Sua'ali'i’s two tries and Ikitau’s decisive pass highlighted their impact, but Ikitau credits the depth and pressure from Hunter Paisami, Josh Flook, and Hamish Stewart for keeping standards high.
The Wallabies will take on Argentina at 4pm Saturday at the Allianz Stadium while the All Blacks host the Springboks at 7.05pm at Sky Stadium.
