Ikanivere to make 41st appearance for Drua against the Tahs tonight

Swire Shipping Fijian Drua Captain Tevita Ikanivere is the first player to make over 40 appearances for the Drua with tonight's game being his 41st.

Nippy halfback Peni Matawalu will make his 40th appearance from the bench tonight while Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula is just 4 points away from becoming the Drua’s highest ever points scorer, a record currently held by Teti Tela with 124 points.

Coach Glen Jackson has retained both his centre combination of Tuidraki Samusamuvodre and Inia Tabuavou from last week, while Etonia Waqa returns to the match day 23.

Haereiti Hetet, Samuela Tawake and skipper Tevita Ikanivere will start in the front row.

Isoa Nasilasila will partner with Leone Rotuisolia at lock. Joseva Tamani starts at blindside flanker, with Motikiai Murray retaining his place at openside while Meli Derenalagi starts at number 8.

Simione Kuruvoli will combine with Caleb Muntz at the halves, while Vuate Karawalevu and Ponipate Loganimasi will start on the wing.

Ilaisa Droasese starts at fullback.

The Waratahs host the Drua at 8.35 tonight at Allianz Stadium.

Before that, the Rooster Chicken Fijian Drua Women take on the Waratahs Women in their first match of the season at 6.05 tonight.

In other matches, the Highlanders will take on Moana Pasifika at 6.05pm tonight, the Chiefs will play the Brumbies at 3.35pm tomorrow, the Hurricanes will meet the Blues at 6.05pm tomorrow
