The five drua players who have re-signed with the Drua

Tevita Ikanivere, Mesulame Dolokoto, Zuriel Togiatama, Haereiti Hetet and Livai Natave have re-signed with the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua beyond the current Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season.

Fijian Drua CEO Mark Evans says they are delighted to retain the services of their talented front-rowers for the next season and beyond in some cases.

He says the Club is focused on a sustainable career pathway for Fiji’s top players, allowing them to do what they love right here at home.

Evans says all five players are either current Flying Fijians or have been part of the national team, so it was important for them to secure their services longer term.

He adds that Drua continues to invest in both young and upcoming players as well as those who are senior within their main team.

The CEO says from dedicated development support right through to proper rehabilitation from serious injuries, they are making sure that their players are looked after.

He says taking care of things off the field allows players to be the best they can be on the field and re-sign with the Drua, the players have shown what this Club and the team mean to them.

Evans adds that further re-signings will be announced within the next week.

Meanwhile, the Fijian Drua will meet the Waratahs at 8.45pm Saturday.

In other Super Rugby Pacific games this weekend, the Crusaders will play the Highlanders at 7pm on Friday, Melbourne Rebels will play the Hurricanes at 9pm Friday, Moana Pasifika will take on the Chiefs at 6.05pm Saturday, the Blues will play the Brumbies at 3pm Sunday and the Queensland Reds will play the Western Force at 5.30pm Sunday.
