Acting Prime Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says we need to continue to have stability, confidence in the economy and the Government’s consistent policies as all of these things are important to give people confidence.

While officially opening the Sharma Royal Events Centre Hall in Sawani, Sayed-Khaiyum says if things chop and change all the time, it won’t give people confidence.

Sayed-Khaiyum adds it is important to note that this investment in Sawani was done during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He says it was an uncertain period for many.

Sayed-Khaiyum says over 70% of Fiji’s population is below the age of 40 and the younger generation look for service driven businesses, as they want to to be served well and want to work in a good environment.
