Ieremia scores hat-trick in Storms victory over Panthers

19-year-old Samoa born Dean Ieremia scored a hat-trick as the Melbourne Storm walloped the Penrith Panthers 37-10 in an empty Suncorp Stadium last night.

Ieremia crossed over for his first try through a cross-kick by Josh Addo-Carr in the 12th minute and went over again in the 18th minute to give the defending champions an 18-0 lead at the break.

His final try in the 65th minute sealed the victory for the Storm.

Other tries for the Storm came from Reimis Smith, Jesse Bromwich and Harry Grant.

The Panthers only scored two tries from Brent Naden and Scott Sorensen.

In other results from last night, the Knights beat the Raiders 34-24 and the Rabbitohs thrashed the Raiders 50-14.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs will take on the Titans at 8pm today while the Sharks will play the Sea Eagles at 10.05 tonight.
