Former Director of Immigration Nemani Vuniwaqa together with his family

Former Director of Immigration Nemani Vuniwaqa says receiving the Fiji 50 Medal from President Jioji Konrote is a big achievement for him.

Vuniwaqa says he is honoured to be recognized for his services to the country.

He says serving in the military for a number of years, all the officers of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces who have received the medal deserve it because serving in the military is not easy.

Vuniwaqa who has also served in the civil service for 10 years says it is an honour to be recognized and has thanked the RFMF for what they have given to him over the years.

He says one goes through a lot of challenges during their time in the military but believes that the officers are destined to overcome those challenges.
