Hurricanes put faith in young first-fives ahead of crunch clash with Highlanders
Aidan Morgan is back in the driver's seat for the Hurricanes' clash against the Highlanders in Dunedin.

The Hurricanes have put their faith in two young first-fives as they look to navigate their toughest stretch of the Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific season so far.

21-year-old Aidan Morgan will start at No. 10 against the Highlanders at Forsyth Barr Stadium tonight after making a timely return from concussion.

Morgan says it will be the biggest game of his young career, given his role and the occasion.

He will be backed up by 20-year-old Harry Godfrey, who inked a two-year contract with the Hurricanes during the week after making his starting debut against the Force at fullback.

Coach Jason Holland also says he never considered giving Jordie Barrett a run at first-five and had full confidence in Morgan and Godfrey, with Morgan’s return from concussion avoiding a potential crisis at No. 10.

The Highlanders host the Hurricanes at 7.05 tonight while the Rebels play the Blues at 9.35pm.
