Tete Yengi scored on his debut as Australia held Switzerland to a 1-all draw in their final warm-up match before the FIFA World Cup kicks off next Friday.
Switzerland took the lead in the 14th minute through Dan Ndoye and dominated much of the first half.
However, the Socceroos responded after the break, with Yengi finding the equaliser in the 56th minute after a build-up involving Cameron Burgess and Connor Metcalfe.
Cristian Volpato also made his debut for Australia after switching allegiance from Italy, while Harry Souttar captained the Socceroos for the first time.
The result gives Australia a confidence boost ahead of the World Cup.
