The Hungama Dance Group has won the Radio Navtarang and Radio Sargam dance off competition at Rups Mega in Nakasi, walking away with $1,000 prize money.

The group was one of three competing for the ultimate prize and has six members.

Group leader Avishkar Kumar danced off with his choreographers Akash Chand and Swasti Narayan with Vandana Raj, Shivanjani Kumar, and Azariya Avantika.

Kumar says he formed the group in early August and wanted to do something different.

He says he has two other members on reserve.

Kumar also says their costumes were designed by his mother, Seema Devi who is a professional tailor and the jewellery was sponsored by Awesome Glory Boutique.

After three rounds of dance-offs, they were crowned the winners.

Ghagra Paltan was the best-dressed team.

Mashooka was the youngest group of three female members.
