Hundreds of people, including students from Ratu Kadavulevu School and Bau Central College took part in the final day of the Fiji National University’s Open Day at the Nasinu Campus.
While speaking to fijivillage News, Bau Central College career teacher Manasa Vuetanatotoka says he brought four of his students and his family all the way from Bau to be part of the day.
Vuetanatotoka says he wants his students and children to experience the event and make wise decisions about which career paths they want to pursue when they reach tertiary institutions.
He also highlighted that it is the responsibility of individuals to decide on their career paths, and that the decision should not be made by parents.
RKS Year 13 student, Faith Mara says the FNU Open Day enlightened her on how to make wise decisions when choosing which career path to follow.
Mara also urged students to make full use of the opportunities provided when visiting universities, as these experiences open doors to success.
