The Director of the Sai Prema Foundation Fiji Sumeet Tappoo and wife Dr Krupali Tappoo.

The Director of the Sai Prema Foundation Fiji Sumeet Tappoo says without the blessings of God, achieving greater things can not be accomplished.

Tappoo was one of the 31 recipients that were awarded commemorative medals for Fiji’s 50th anniversary of Independence by President Jioji Konrote today.

Tappoo says he will continue to support the nation through his music and all the things his foundation will be working on.

He says he is humbled and honoured to receive the medal from the President of Fiji.

Tappoo says he has been a silent ambassador of Fiji most of his life as he is always flying the Fijian flag wherever he performs around the world.

He adds Sai Prema Foundation is building a children's heart hospital in Fiji in response to every mother's prayer in Fiji who are helpless when they cannot treat their children in the country.
