A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji as a trough of low pressure and associated clouds and rain is expected to affect the country until tomorrow.
The Nadi Weather Office says people can expect occasional rain, heavy at times, with a few thunderstorms over most places.
They say isolated heavy rain may lead to flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
Significant rainfall recorded in the past 24 hours includes 71.5mm in Wairikicake, 69.0mm in Vanuabalavu, 57.0mm in Dewala and 52.5mm in Nadarivatu.
People living in low-lying informal settlements and flood-prone areas are urged to be cautious, as flash flooding may disrupt traffic flow and affect some businesses and communities.
Surface flooding is also expected in streets, especially in urban areas with poor drainage systems.
