A flash flood alert remains in force for all low-lying and flood-prone areas of Viti Levu.
The Nadi Weather Office also says a heavy rain warning is in force for Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, as well as Moala and Southern Lau.
A trough of low pressure lies just to the south of the group, with associated clouds affecting most parts of the country.
Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected, and localized have rain may cause flash flooding in low-lying areas.
The trough of low pressure is moving slowly to the east and is expected to clear the area by later today.
