Expect heavy rain and flash flooding as a heavy rain alert remains in force for the Fiji Group.
The Nadi Weather Office says that a trough of low pressure, accompanied by cloud and rain, is approaching the country from the west.
It is expected to direct a moist northerly wind flow over the group from today until late tomorrow.
There will be heavy rain with squally thunderstorms developing in the west and gradually spreading to the rest of the group later today.
The Weather Office advises the public to anticipate wet roads and reduced visibility.
There is also a risk of flash flooding in small streams and Irish crossings, and surface flooding is likely to occur in streets, particularly in urban areas with poor drainage systems.
