A Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for the Eastern half of Viti Levu from Serua/Namosi through Navua to Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Ba/Ra, the Northern Division, Lau and Lomaiviti group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.

The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure remains slow moving over the group, bringing with it associated cloud and showers which is expected to affect the group over until tomorrow.

They say occasional rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected over Serua-Namosi, Navua, Suva and Nausori, Tailevu, Naitasiri, Ba/Ra, Northern Division, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands.

The Office says the possible impacts include flash flooding of some low-lying informal settlements and communities, businesses and Irish Crossings leading to disruption to traffic flow, surface flooding are expected on streets particularly in urban areas with poor drainage system with reduced visibility.
