A heavy rain alert remains in force for the whole of Fiji group while a strong wind warning remains in force for waters of Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Southwest Viti Levu, Vatu-i-Ra and Kadavu passages, southern Koro Sea and Lau waters.
The Nadi Weather Office says an active trough of low pressure lies just to the West of the group and continues to move eastwards.
They say associated rain and strong winds continue to affect the group.
The active trough is expected to lie to the East of the group by midday tomorrow.
The Office says this could lead to occasional rain, heavy at times and few thunderstorms over most places while localised heavy rain may lead to flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.
This condition also cause poor visibility on roads during thunderstorms or heavy rainfall.
