Heavy Rain Warning for Fiji group while Flood Alert remains for Qawa, Wairikicake, Korotari, Labasa and Nakawaga Rivers

A Heavy Rain Warning remains in force for the interior, Northern and Western parts of Vanua Levu and Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.

A Flood Alert remains in force for low lying and flood prone areas adjacent and downstream of Qawa River, Wairikicake River,Korotari River, Labasa River and Nakawaga River.

River levels at Qawa and Nakawaga station are below their respective alert levels.

TD05F is currently slow moving to the southwest of Fiji while the associated active trough of low pressure with cloud and rain continues to affect the country till Thursday.

The Nadi Weather Office says occasional rain, heavy at times and a few thunderstorms for the interior, Northern and Western parts of Vanua Levu and Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti groups.

They say localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.
