Heavy Rain Warning and Flood Warning in place while, Bulileka, Wainikoro, Vunika Flats and Labasa Hospital Road flooded

Some parts of Labasa including areas in Bulileka, Wainikoro, Vunika flats and Labasa Hospital Road are flooded due to heavy rain.

fijivillage News has received reports from residents in Labasa that it has been raining heavily this morning.

He says Labasa town may get flooded in the next few hours if the heavy rain continues.

He also says that some roads and bridges in Bulileka are also closed.

Fiji Roads Authority says Zailav crossing, Zailav Road, Wairiki crossing, Navakuru Road, Batiri and Seaqaqa roads in Labasa are closed to all traffic.

Meanwhile, the Nadi Weather Office says a heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji.

A flood warning is in force for flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of major rivers of Vanua Levu, and Western Viti Levu from Sigatoka, Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, Tavua, Rakiraki and Korovou.

A flood alert is in force for flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of Wainibuka, Wainimala, Waidina, Waimanu, Rewa and Navua Rivers.

A flash flood alert remains in force for all flash flood-prone areas including small streams, and low-lying areas for the rest of Fiji.

They say an active trough of low pressure with associated clouds and rain continues to affect the country. Meanwhile, a northwest wind flow prevails over the group.
