A Heavy Rain Alert is now in force for the whole of the Fiji Group.
The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure, associated with clouds and rain, will affect the group from the north and west from later tonight until Tuesday.
They say showers will become frequent and increase to occasional rain with isolated thunderstorms from tonight over most areas.
Localised heavy rain may lead to flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
