A Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for Viti Levu, Yasawa, Mamanuca Group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands and Southern Lau Group.

A Strong Wind Warning remains in force for Southern parts of Viti Levu that includes Lomawai through to Sigatoka to Coral Coast to Navua, the land areas of Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group, and Southern Lau Group.

A Damaging Heavy Swell Alert remains in force for open waters of Kadavu and Southern Lau waters.

A Coastal Inundation Alert remains in force for low lying coastal areas of Kadavu and nearby smaller islands and Central and Southern Lau Group.

A trough of low pressure lies slow moving to the west of Fiji, and is associated with cloud and rain.

It is expected to affect the country until today.

Meanwhile, a high pressure system to the far Southwest of Fiji is expected to generate and direct moderate to heavy swells over Southern Fiji waters which may result in coastal inundation of Southern parts of the group.

Expect sea flooding of coastal areas of Kadavu and nearby smaller islands Central and Southern Lau groups especially during high tides.

The Nadi Weather Office says isolated thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected which may lead to flash flooding of low lying and flood prone areas.

They say people can also expect some disruption to traffic flow because of poor visibility.
