In 2022, Sanjay Chand, a 49-year-old property manager from Nadi, suffered a minor heart attack. It was a frightening and unexpected moment for him and his family.

He was first admitted to Nadi Hospital, where he spent a week under medical observation. After being discharged, he came to Pacific Specialist Healthcare (PSH Hospitals) in Nadi for further treatment.

At PSH Hospitals Sanjay underwent detailed heart tests. Doctors found five serious blockages and recommended urgent heart bypass surgery.

Though the news was shocking, Sanjay and his family felt reassured by the caring and professional team of cardiothoracic and vascular surgeon, Dr Sanjeev Khulbey at PSH Hospitals. The team took time to explain everything clearly and answered all questions.

The surgery was carried out successfully by the cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr Sanjeev Khulbey at PSH Hospitals. Sanjay was closely monitored in the intensive care unit (ICU) before being shifted to the VIP room in the ward.

Throughout his stay, the nurses and doctors took very good care of him. Sanjay and his family say they were treated with kindness, respect, and constant support.

Sanjay’s health improved steadily, and he responded well to treatment. The hospital also provided advice on diet, medications, and lifestyle after discharge.

He was discharged from PSH Hospitals five-days after the surgery. He is grateful to walk out stronger, healthier, and full of hope.

Sanjay thanked the entire PSH Hospitals team for their care and dedication. “They saved my life and I am so grateful,” he says with deep emotion.

Sanjay’s story reminds us all that expert care at the right time can truly change a life. For him, PSH Hospitals was not just a place of treatment—but a place of healing.

Meanwhile, PSH Hospitals founder and chief executive officer Parvish Kumar says they will continue to save precious lives one surgery at a time. To all those on a similar journey, know that with timely care, support and determination, a healthy, fulfilling life is within reach at PSH Hospitals.
