It was a heartbreaking loss for the Digicel Young Kulas in the OFC U19 Women's Championship as they went down 7-0 to New Zealand.

The Young Kulas were optimistic about winning the final and making the nation proud, but unfortunately, New Zealand had other plans.

Fiji Coach, Angeline Chua says their aim was to fight till the last moment and they may not have won the tournament but have won the hearts of their fans.

She says many fans turned up with their Fiji flags today to cheer and encourage the girls, which means a lot to the team.

Chua says she is proud of the talent that the players have and will work with them to strengthen the team.

New Zealand led 3-0 at half-time.

New Zealand has now qualified for the FIFA U20 Women's World Cup, which will be held in Costa Rica.
