The hearing date for the case in which former Assistant Minister for Health and former FijiFirst MP Alexander O'Connor allegedly used State resources to campaign will be set on 11th November.

The court was informed that O'Connor is unwell and in Lautoka.

His medical sick sheet was provided in court and his presence was excused.

O'Connor is charged with 3 counts of prohibition on use of State resources to campaign.

It is alleged that on or about 23rd November 2022, in the Northern Division, O’Connor conducted campaign activities and distributed campaign materials bearing the candidate number 252 inside two health centres and a Nursing Station.

It is alleged that O’Connor had requested the medical staff to distribute his campaign materials.
