Healthy environment is the foundation of our nation’s resilience and strength – PRF founder

Healthy environment is the foundation of our nation’s resilience and strength – PRF founder

As Fiji celebrates 55 years of independence, the Pacific Recycling Foundation is urging Fijians to remember that the true strength and resilience of the nation begin with protecting the environment that supports our lives.

PRF founder Amitesh Deo highlights that a healthy environment is the foundation of our nation’s resilience and strength, and when our land is healthy, our people thrive.

He says Fiji’s journey of growth should also reflect how we treat our natural resources and support the people whose lives depend on them.

He adds that a clean, well-managed environment can help build a green economy, one that empowers communities and ensures a secure future for the nation.

Deo says that as Fiji marks another year of independence, there is no greater act of patriotism than protecting the land and ocean that define the nation’s identity.

He says that by protecting the environment, we are not only securing the future of the next generation, but also reinforcing the very foundation on which the country stands.

PRF is calling on every Fijian to renew their commitment to responsible waste management, recycling, and sustainable practices as meaningful acts of patriotism and love for the nation.
