Health Inspectors out and about on dengue fever clean-up

Health Inspectors around the country are working around the clock in their fight against dengue fever.

With the Minister for Health, Dr Atonio Lalabalavu, declaring an outbreak of dengue fever in the Western Division, Health Inspectors have been forging on with dengue clean-up campaigns and community awareness.

Health Inspectors from the Tavua Medical Sub-Division spent their Valentine's evening progressing with their Dengue Clean Up campaign.

The staff continued with their mosquito spraying and also house-to-house awareness.

The Health Ministry is also grateful to the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) and Fiji Sugar Corporation (FSC) for lending a hand and also to members of the community who have gone out of their way and played their part in cleaning up their own backyard.

Meanwhile, around 200 cases of dengue fever have been recorded for the Western Division since the beginning of this year.
