Habosi aims to play for the Flying Fijians in the World Cup

After recovering from a bone infection that nearly ended his career last year, Swire Shipping Fijian Drua star winger, Vinaya Habosi says he now has aspirations to be in the Flying Fijians team for the World Cup.

Habosi who is the Super Rugby Pacific Round 7 Most Valuable Player says he kept telling himself he could do better last year and is now playing in the Super Rugby.

He says he has been training hard to be where he is now.

Habosi is also the fijivillage Fan Player of the Match for Round 7.

He has scored three tries this season.

Habosi leads the competition in defenders beaten (33 defenders beaten), second in metres carried (694 metres) and fourth in clean breaks (with 6).

The Drua meet the Brumbies at 9.45pm Saturday.

In other matches this week, the Highlanders will face the Moana Pasifika at 7.05pm Friday, the Force will take on the Rebels at 9.45pm Friday, the Hurricanes will play the Crusaders at 4.35pm Saturday, and the Chiefs will face the Blues at 7.05pm Saturday.
