HK 7s: Fijiana outclassed 26-17 by Canada

The Fiji Airways Fijiana side were outclassed 26-17 by Canada in their quarter final match in the HSBC Hong Kong 7s this evening.

While the Fijiana struck first through Verenaisi Ditavutu, Canada quickly replied through Fancy Bermudez to make it 7-5.

Silika Qalo outpaced the Canadian defence out wide to nab the lead for Fijiana 12-7.

The Fijiana led 12-7 at half time.

Carissa Norsten quickly struck after half time to grab the lead away from Fiji again making it 12-14.

Canada got one back with Fijiana answering quickly through Michelle Seruvatu, before Norsten put the game out of reach at 17-26.

The Fijiana earlier won their first pool game against Ireland 24-17, before losing 14-24 to France.

The cup semi finals will start at 6.14pm tomorrow and the cup final will kick off at 11.10pm tomorrow.
