The touring Suva Grammar School Under 16 rugby team has achieved great results, winning four of their five games in New Zealand as they prepare for the Vodafone Super Deans competition this year.

Grammar edged Massey High School in their first game 17-12, they then lost their second match to Auckland Grammar 35-12 before thumping Sacred Heart College 22-0 in their third game.

The side then won against Wesley College 26-17 in their fourth game and then beat Hamilton Boys High School 22-17 in their final game.

The team visited the Waikato Chiefs headquarters and stadium and also had some time to take photos with All Blacks and Chiefs stars Damian McKenzie and Etene Nanai-Seturo.

The 48-member Grammar team joined the Lelean Memorial School U17 side for a 10.30am service at the Auckland Methodist Church at Meadowlands, followed by lunch.

According to the Team management, the team joined the Catholic Mass at the Te Unga Waka Marae, Epsom, at the invitation of Marist Brothers High School, with 22 players representing the team.

The Grammar team thanked Marist for the invite to host them for lunch as well.

The teams were seen singing hymns and cheering for each other during the games as the players bonded in NZ.
