The harmful attitude of the government towards the Minister for Women, Children and Social Protection, Lynda Tabuya must be ceased.

This has been highlighted by the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre Coordinator, Shamima Ali after the Reclaim the Night march last night in Suva.

Speaking at the front of the Parliament complex, Ali said that those who are sitting in parliament are maligning a female leader who has done very well.

Ali says whether we like Tabuya or not, we should stand together on allegations of having an affair.

She says some ministers holding a position in the government committed a crime and there is no shame at all.

She further says the march for tonight is also dedicated to those women and girls who have gone through sexual abuse and domestic violence.

Ali further says issues like marital rape, child rape, domestic violence, drugs, poverty, etc are emerging every day and we need to act on them to stop them.

She adds they are also thinking of the women and girls in Palestine who are dodging bombs and are victims of violence.
