Goodhue out of rugby for the rest of the year while Moody will be reassessed in two weeks time

All Blacks and Crusaders midfielder Jack Goodhue.

All Blacks and Crusaders midfielder Jack Goodhue has been ruled out of all rugby for the rest of 2021.

The Crusaders have confirmed Goodhue ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee and requires surgery.

This will sideline him for the rest of Super Rugby season, as well as the All Blacks' international season.

Meanwhile, prop Joe Moody remains without a timetable for a return to play, and he will be re-evaluated in two weeks.

Crusaders coach Scott Robertson says they are gutted for him as he has been through this before and hopes he comes back in great condition.

He says they have a great group of medical staff, who will help him get back to his best, however, they will be reassessing Moody in a couple of weeks.

The Crusaders will face the Chiefs at 7.05pm Saturday while the Highlanders will play the Blues at 7.05pm tomorrow.
