Despite the current challenges Fiji is facing due to financial issues, honesty, and faithfulness, good Samaritans still exist.

This was highlighted by Momlesh Chandra from Nadawa to fijivillage News after recovering his lost phone a day later.

Chandra had lost his phone on a bus, however, a day later he managed to recover it with the help of some honest youths.

He also acknowledged the assistance of policeman Ponipate Navusowata, who helped him retrieve the phone from two young men who are part of the Combine Brothers rugby team.

One of the youths, Paula Duvaga says when he found the phone, the thought of selling it crossed his mind, but says he chose to do the right thing and return the phone to its owner.

He says the phone had a low battery, so he kept it on, hoping someone would call so he could answer and return it.

The 23-year-old emphasized that during these challenging times, it is important to teach ourselves to be honest in even the smallest of actions.
